Istanbul Inception: photographer and digital artist Aydin Büyüktas used images taken with a drone to give the impression of warped Turkish cityscapes.

Each image is composed from multiple photographs digitally stitched together, without a visible horizon the result is a continues and dramatically inverted space between ground and areal view.

Despite the stunning visuals that take us back to the movie Inception from the 2010, the real inspiration that drove the artist came from a satirical novella written in 1884, Flatland, the story describes a two-dimensional world inhabited by earthlings represented with geometric figures.
